Vermonters make up one-fourth
of Union Institute & University
enrollment using Montpelier and Brattleboro campus programs, and
the university has chosen to say “thank you” by awarding
a $6,000 scholarship to a Vermont resident.
“The scholarship
and the Chamber of Commerce are a great fit,” said
Neal Meier, the associate provost for administration and a Chamber
director. “Both
the Chamber and Union Institute place a strong emphasis on adult
education and professional development.”
Younger students will not be left out, however. The scholarship
to be awarded can be used for enrollment in undergraduate or
graduate courses through spring of 2010. The winner does not
have to be the enrollee, but both must be Vermont residents.
Union Institute & University
offers bachelors degrees with majors in business management, child
development, education, human services, public administration, and
many others. Masters and doctorate degrees are available in education
or psychology.
